The production of light-blocking black films typically relies on polymer resins, with light-blocking properties achieved through the addition of functional fillers such as carbon black. Common base materials include polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polyester (PET). During the compounding stage, resin pellets are mixed with additives-including carbon black, antioxidants, lubricants, and dispersing agents-in specific proportions to ensure stability and uniformity in subsequent processing.

 

Film production commonly employs extrusion blow molding or cast film extrusion. Raw materials undergo thorough melting and plasticization in a twin-screw extruder, where high shear forces ensure the uniform dispersion of carbon black within the polymer matrix before the material is shaped into a film via the die. Subsequent steps-such as cooling and setting, drawing, and winding-result in a light-blocking black film with a stable structure. Throughout this process, parameters such as temperature control, screw speed, and cooling conditions significantly influence the film's properties.

 

To further enhance product performance, some light-blocking black films utilize multilayer co-extrusion technology, allowing for the design of distinct functional layers: an outer layer for improved weather resistance, a core layer providing the primary light-blocking function, and an inner layer designed to improve heat-sealing properties or processing adaptability. This structural design ensures effective light blocking while simultaneously enhancing overall mechanical properties and expanding the scope of application.

 

Products typically undergo quality inspection and post-processing steps-including thickness measurement, light-blocking rate testing, and visual inspection-to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards. Optimizing formulations and process parameters enables the stable, large-scale production of light-blocking black films across various performance grades.
